One
of the most asked questions at Design Homes is, "What are the options?"
The answer is fairly easy: Options are items or upgrades that are not essential.
A furnace is a must, so is at least one bathroom. Those are included in the base
price. You don't necessarily need a fireplace or a skylight or a second bathroom
(though you might want one). Every Design Home is
equipped as a livable home--even without options. But
most people will include some upgrades to make their home just right.

below. (Remember that there are far more options
available than what are listed. If you
have something
else in mind, simply ask any salesperson and we will be happy to check
availability and pricing.)

The price of the Climatemaster Geothermal system includes:
The
Climatemaster Tranquility 27 Geothermal system installed by Design Homes in
the basement with all the ductwork completed
Programmable
thermostat installed on the main level
3rd stage 10 KW electric
resistance heater installed in the Tranquility 27
Single Flow Center/Pump is installed on the side
of the unit - other miscellaneous fittings are shipped loose
Note: Upgrade to a Dual Flow Pump Center is $250.00!
The price does not include:
Excavation and
Installation of the outside Loopfield
Connection of the Loopfield to the Tranquility 27 Flow Center/Pump
Filling the Loopfield with the antifreeze solution
Initial Start-up and Commisioning/Calibration of the unit
Electrical hookup of the entire Tranquility 27 unit
Floor Drain installed near the unit
Design Homes has a Loopfield Contractor we recommend that will install horizontal Loopfields anywhere in Wisconsin and Iowa, along with parts of Minnesota and Illinois (within 250 miles of Prairie du Chien). Other than the electrical hookup and floor drain, Loopers Inc. will do all the items mentioned in the “Price does not include” section above. Their contact information is:

Note: If one utilizes Loopers Inc., the steps in the process will be:
1)
Design Homes will install the Geothermal system in the basement and
complete all the ductwork
2) The
homeowner needs to contract for the electrical work to be completed
3) The
homeowner needs to have water available near the unit for the filling of the
Loopfield and have electrical power on in the house.
4) Loopers
Inc can then come out to complete the installation and start-up
Note:
Customers can hire any contractor of their
choice to complete the installation of the Loopfield. Since Design Homes is
not involved in the oversight or design of the Loopfield and final hookup or
calibration, the homeowner must take special care to hire someone competent
to complete these tasks. Improper Loopfield design or installation may lead
to reduced performance of the Geothermal system. Installers should be
trained by the manufacturer or certified by the IGSHPA (International Ground
Source Heat Pump Association).
